GREENVILLE, SC – October 14th, 2013 The City of Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA) has selected Motors@WorkTM , an Motors@Work LLC solution, in support of their continuing leadership in energy efficiency and environmental commitment. Motors@WorkTM , built in collaboration with and certified by the developers of Motor Master+ and Motor Master+ International, provides greatly expanded analytical and collaborative “worldwide motor community” capabilities using the latest technology, certified analytics, systematic business process integration, and near real-time data currency to provide motor intelligence when and where needed to optimize an enterprise’s motor efficiency.

Mr. Bill Miller, the City of Des Moines (WRA) Risk & Reliability Manager noted, “Motors@WorkTM will be an integral part of our energy and asset management convergence strategy. Motors@WorkTM will handle everything from calculating a simple return on investment on a single motor purchase for us to providing a comprehensive enterprise motor management program. Motors@WorkTM will allow WRA to integrate with our system-of-record of in-service and spare motors. The certified analytics and standards within Motors@WorkTM will determine motor load, efficiency at the load point, energy consumption, and cost, either by field measurements or near real-time integrations to our SCADA and asset management systems. Also motors with constant and variable loads will both be accommodated. All of this will support the identification of Inefficient or oversized motor non-conformities which will be communicated, repair and replacement countermeasures initiated, and potential savings determined. Power quality will also be monitored and anomalies identified in order to meet a motor’s rated efficiency and performance levels.”
